Children will delight at meeting the great man himself who will warmly welcome them to his grotto to chat and hear their Christmas wish.

They’ll cherish their gift and photo and will be excited to join his team of merry elves to make festive decorations and create reindeer food. And they’ll love tucking into hot chocolate and gingerbread from our cafe.

Then it’s off outside to find Elfie, Santa’s naughty helper who has got lost in Cnwch Woods. Follow the trail and seek them out!

Father Christmas will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about Christmas and his magical elves! He’ll also bring along some gifts for each child after they tuck into their scrummy breakfast. Afterwards, there’s plenty of time to head out to to the adventure playground or go for a walk.

These short self-guided tours are a perfect addition to your day’s itinerary at Elan Valley. Walk through the dam at your own pace, before emerging onto the central platform where you’ll enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the dam wall – and learn about the feat of engineering that made Elan.

Booking ahead recommended, either online or from the Visitor Centre shop. Please bring the receipt from the shop if you buy on the day. We can take walk-ins at the dam but you must have the correct change for your party.
