Tap Into It

Tap Into It is an outreach education programme designed to engage schools and communities locally and in Birmingham.  The aim is raise awareness of where their water comes from and the important sustainability issues surrounding water as a resource, shortage and sensible use. A programme of activities and events will be developed to celebrate aspects of Elan Valley’s water story and establish and maintain long term links with Birmingham.

Over the next five years we will be engaging with schools in Birmingham, as well as holding events in the area, which aim to promote the Elan Valley water story.

Our aim is to engage with 10,000 people from communities in Birmingham and the Midlands, to make them more aware of where their water comes from.  We will also engage with 1,500 school children from 25 schools through the use of information and activities, including a portable water learning resource.
