Join us for a journey of the senses in Elan Valley. Catch a whiff of Elan’s Pongs from the Past, prick up your ears with sound foraging duo Ardal Bicnic and explore our nocturnal wildlife with Sorcha Lewis. A weekend of free experiences and events in celebration of all five senses.

Friday

1-4pm Sound Foraging with Ardal Bicnic

Join Ardal Bicnic on a stroll to discover sounds in the natural environment of Elan Valley.

7pm Elan Valley Dark Sky Experience

Come and experience dark skies in the Elan Valley where the Dark Sky Team will talk about what wonderful objects you can see in the night sky. BSL interpretation available.

Saturday

10am – 4pm Pongs of the Past with Gary Ball

Come and get hands on with the smells and feel of the past with our own horrible histories from the Elan Valley.

10am – 4pm Voices of the Valley

Over the past five years, the Elan Links project has collected stories from people who have a connection to Elan Valley. This sound exhibition will bring together some of these stories, with photographs, plans and artefacts which piece together the human history of Elan.

10am-4pm Sound Foraging with Ardal Bicnic

11am Perfect Sense Walk with Rosie Slay.

Take in all the sensations of the woodlands in this mindful walk. BSL interpretation available.

8pm Creatures of the Night with Sorcha Lewis

Join Sorcha Lewis, local wildlife enthusiast to learn about the wonders of our nocturnal wildlife. BSL interpretation available.
