Elan Valley Trail closed between Garreg Ddu and Penbont

Two bridges on the Elan Valley Trail undergo improvement works this October requiring the closure of a section of the Elan Valley Trail.
These works will directly affect walkers and cyclists on a number of routes.
Walking Trails Affected:
Elan Valley Trail to Craig Goch
Cycling Trails Affected:
The footpath on the opposite bank of the Garreg Ddu Reservoir is an alternative route between Garreg-ddu and Penbont dams although it is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. The public road is another option but caution is advised with regards oncoming traffic and blind bends. Please take care.
