Join artist Lee Mackenzie for the first walking and creative writing workshop in Elan Valley.

This in-situ workshop will take place on a walk around the reservoir infrastructure before regrouping at Penbont House for refreshments.

Participants will respond to prompts and mini-exercises in-situ, collecting their thoughts about the environment and the infrastructure. These responses would then form the basis for a writing workshop and/or a series of recorded interviews between participants, reflecting upon the reservoirs and the water’s journey.

Following these workshops and with the participant’s consent, I would make use of their creative responses within the poetry map of the Elan Valley aqueduct. These would be fully referenced.

This workshop is open to all, but we’d like to encourage young writers in particular.
